One more pawn on the board...
Jun. 4th, 2012 10:00 pmAlready in the middle of their second game of chess, Arturia had managed to dodge the topic of one self-important scientist for most of the evening. Their conversation had veered from the food the replicators provided (of which she had brought two mystery bottles, a mystery tub of what could be cheese and a loaf of bread) to the current state of the crew aboard the ship to how unbelievably dull life aboard the Proserpina was.
The blonde had a genuine fear that the boredom would eventually drive them all mad. The station would be a tad more lively if that were the case but all of them would be too cracked to generally enjoy the excitement. Pity.
“I fear we may be characters in a terrible play, reenacting the same dull and lifeless lines day after day,” she finally moves her rook, “Do you ever feel that way?”
Not that she was saying Shepard was dull and lifeless, just that their situation was full of mundane little things and this wasn’t something Arturia was accustomed to. She needed something action oriented to keep her alert and the Proserpina was about as action packed as a lame horse.
